Graboid Style Intruder Fly

$6.00
These flies will have a bit of 'bed head' from transport in a baggie. They will be fine once you wet them and get your swing on.

Be sure to use a non-slip mono loop to connect these. I use 2x Orvis Mirage or 10lb Berkley Vanish. Inspired by Jonathan Farmer's Graboid fly. You can listen to Rob's interview with Jonathan here: https://megaphone.link/WPCM3439691180

We worked on this pattern last winter on the Salmon River of New York. Podcast producer Jason lost a fish on his first cast then another. We landed several very aggressive steelhead on this fish in 2019.

Tied on OPST shank.
Hooks Orvis, Saber, Matzuo, Daiichi, or Allen.
Brass bead or cone.
